Julius Caesar

I wanted to challenge myself so, before going to bed, I read 140 pages of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.I have to say that it was already really late and that I was already tired before starting the challenge; that's why it was a challenge in the first place.

It was a small challenge but, nonetheless, I want to share my experience.

Since I had already read the beginning of the book and some Shakespeare books I was already quite engaged in the plot. But, even so, it was not all easy.

Beginning:
The beginning of the challenge was easy because I was concentrated and my eyes were still focusing well.

The plot really caught my atention and one hour flew by without my notice.

Struggles:
After the first hour, my reading speed decreased, my atention span dropped and I startd to cry because my eyes were getting dry.

I got up two or three times to make the blood flow and to wash my face with cold water.

I kept reading, trying not to fall asleep (my head dropped and my eyes closed about a dozen times).

Eventually I finished the book. I enjoyed it quite a lot - Shakespeare never gets old with his fantastic plots, poetic writting and deep characters!

Conclusion:
This was a book that I was always making excuses not to read. Not that I didn't want to read it, but others thing would come in the way, or so I would say.

I can definitely say that I slept like a baby and that I woke up feeling great despite the mild eye aches.

I swaped waking up without anything in my mind for waking up with a small sense of reward.

If someone ever did a challenge like this, please comment below your experience!

Have a great day and be EXPLOSIVE!
